This bottling was matured exclusively in Spanish Oloroso Sherry butts.

Aberlour, Gaelic for 'the mouth of the babbling brook' is a distillery of Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, at the confluence of the Lour Burn and River Spey near Ben Rinnes.

The distillery was officially founded in 1879 by James Fleming.
