Description

Lochlea Single Malt first release. Bottled at 46% ABV, the Single Malt Whisky was matured in first-fill bourbon and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. It is bottled naturally with no added colouring, and is non-chill filtered.

One of 7000 bottles. Half of which were for the UK market. The other half distributed across 10 other markets in North America and Europe.

Distillery Information

A distillery based at Lochlea farm in Ayrshire.

Initially led by the experience and expertise of distillery manager Malcolm Rennie, and now under the management of ex-Laphroaig Distillery Manager John Campbell.

Rooted in Scottish history, Robert Burns called Lochlea his home throughout his formative years, from 1777 until his father’s death in 1784.
