The story behind spirit and wood - A very special limited edition bottling released to celebrate the relationship between The Macallan Spirit and the Exceptional Oak Casks in which it is matured. 1000 oak trees were planted in 2005 which corresponds to the number of bottles produced.

The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray.

The Macallan Distillers Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group, which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
