Description

A very sought after Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottling. Following their unique code system, the first number refers to the distillery and the second refers to the number of single casks that the SMWS have bottled from that respective distillery. This one being a Glenfarclas 21 year old distilled on 5th March 1997 and matured in 1st fill hogshead/ex px cask. One of only 234 bottles.

Distillery Information

Glenfarclas distillery is a Speyside whisky distillery in Ballindalloch, Scotland, owned and run by the Grant family.

The distillery was first granted a licence in 1836 and now has six stills which are the largest on Speyside and are heated directly by gas burners. 

The company was named Distiller of the Year by Whisky Magazine in 2006. 

Glenfarclas translates as meaning 'Valley Of The Green Grass.'
