Description

Distilled in 1988 and bottled in 2006. The 1987 vintage was the final outing for the rare matte purple carton that was was discontinued in favour of a shiny metallic box the same year. This vintage was sold in both packaging styles.

The Macallan distillery is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery in Craigellachie, Moray.

The Macallan Distillers Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Edrington Group, which purchased the brand from Highland Distillers in 1999.
