Description

Balmoral Castle and Estate is the Scottish Home of the Royal Family. On the 6th of May 2023, the historic occasion of the crowning of HM King Charles III and HM The Queen Consort. 

In recognition of the King's long and fond association with Royal Deeside, the whisky is drawn from specially selected casks from Royal Lochnagar Distillery, a mile from Balmoral, and its style evokes the pine forests and grassy, floral nature of the surrounding area.

This single malt Balmoral 18-Year-Old in celebration of The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, Saturday 6th May 2023 (48% ABV). This whisky had a long, gentle maturation in refill casks: rich European oak balanced with American oak sweetness. This is one of a limited 1000 bottles produced.

Distillery Information

Royal Lochnagar distillery, founded in 1845, is a single malt Scotch whisky distillery based on the Abergeldie Estate on Royal Deeside, in the Highland whisky-producing area of Scotland. 

Royal Lochnagar is leased by Diageo from the Abergeldie Estate, the distillery produces a relatively small amount of whisky, most of which is used in Johnnie Walker black and blue label.
